After 5 years of ownership, I'm selling my 1966 Ford F100. I don't drive it every day but usually several times a month, and it's never let me down. One of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. And believe it or not, it doesn't drip any oil, not even a single drop!
This truck is the result of slowly improving it for a long time now. It may look rough, but it's a very solid truck with great bones. It's ready to be driven home.
The FE 390 v8 is very strong and runs great. The "four on the floor" gearbox is easy to shift and downshift and the clutch feels good. This truck has been supper reliable! I've put over 2,000 miles on it in 5 years. I verified that it's a 390ci and not a 360ci by measuring the piston stroke, and I can provide a video proving that.
The front brakes were just replaced professionally and still under warranty. I've also recently replaced the battery, starter, turn signal switch, window channels, headliner, and much more. Previous owner replaced the windshield, exhaust system, steering column coupler, side mirrors, and more. The headliner was also added about a year ago. It's just a tapestry but is not glued in, if it doesn't suite you.
I've repaired some rust in the floorboards and door sills, but overall this is a very low-rust example especially for an old truck in the midwest. However, the cab corners need to be patched, as shown in the photos.
I actually posted a video to YouTube a year ago showing a lot of the rust repairs and more:
The truck bed was treated and rust-proofed with POR-15, and then top-coated with Rustoleum tractor paint (red oxide color). I also applied more POR-15 to anything under the truck that was getting a bit rusty. In other words, I made sure rust would not grow and become a problem. Even if some metal is still missing, like from the cab supports under the truck. Check out the photos bellow to see what I mean.
I'm asking $6,400. Located in Lawrence KS (not far from where it was built in 1966: Kansas City).
